How to get to the Old Royal High

We have two areas available for Blue Badge Holder parking as seen on this map of the site. If you are unsure, please just speak to our volunteers who will be at the entrance in high vis jackets to direct you.

Pianodrome at the Old Royal High

5- 7 Regent Road

Edinburgh

EH7 5BL

Our Summer Resonancy is taking place at the Old Royal High School in Edinburgh City Centre.

The Old Royal High is a ten minute walk from both Edinburgh Waverley Train Station (Princes Street side) and Edinburgh Bus Station (Multrees Walk).

Many buses stop on Regent Road, just outside the venue, including the 26, 113, 49, 124, X24, 44, 49.

We encourage people to walk, cycle, or take public transport wherever possible to help the planet!

Unfortunately, there is no parking available on site except for blue badge holders.

The main entrance has now been changed to the front gate. Wheelchair and pram users are still able to access the venue at the side gate.

Please note: over the entire summer we will be based at the Old Royal High - please do not travel to our warehouse in Granton unless you have a pre-booked appointment there.

Accessibility

The Quiet Room

The site is all on one level with the exception of the terrace bar. The main bar in the Resonancy Lounge, the Pianodrome and the grand hall are all on one level. There is space in the outside courtyard to sit with drinks in the sunshine on the same level as the main bar.

We have a designated quiet room for anyone who feels like they need to take a break from anything. We are a breastfeeding welcome venue.

We sadly don't have the budget to allow for BSL translations on our shows aside from our fringe show with Sean Logan: Full Spectrum.

All of our toilets are non gendered and we have an accessible for wheelchairs toilet available. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space and discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated.

Alcohol and age restrictions

We understand that not everyone wants to socialise with alcohol and so we have created an alcohol free sober space in the lounge foyer. No alcohol is allowed to be consumed in this area.

Our licence allows for under 18s to be at the venue to see the music up until 10pm.

If you are not feeling well or see something you think might be unusual or unsafe please report to our friendly staff who will be wearing high vis.

If you feel unsafe or are unhappy with anything related to accessibility on the site please inform our staff - we are committed to improving this and are open to any constructive criticism.

Please contact us at boxoffice@pianodrome.org for any enquiries.
