Alec Cooper and Sodhi Deerhe

For centuries, Indian musicians developed a finely tuned system by which to affect listeners emotions and states of mind. This system is based on the concept of Raga, i.e. 'that which colours the mind'. In this concert, Alec Cooper and Sodhi Deerhe will be presenting a small number of North Indian ragas on sitar and tabla, improvising their way through this musical system. Both Alec and Sodhi are highly experienced Hindustani musicians, who have been both performing and teaching across Scotland for many years.
